A Unique Retreat Experience in the Heart of Bosnia

Frequently
Asked Questions

Where can I get work done?

You can work from your private room, common areas in the house, or the coworking space just a few minutes away.

What kind of activities do you usually facilitate?

Expect shared meals, day trips to see the wild horses on Kruzi Plateau, traditional Bosnian cooking workshops, and sunset gatherings with the group. You’ll also have the chance to go hiking to peaks like Troglav, horseback riding through the highlands, canoeing on Buško Lake, or even try paragliding over Livanjsko Polje. For the more adventurous, there are also ATV off-road rides through panoramic trails.

Activities vary based on group interest and weather: some are spontaneous, others are hosted by locals or residents themselves.

How can I get to Hubs Livno?

The nearest airports are Mostar, Split, and Sarajevo. From there, you can catch a bus or book a private transfer through Hubs. We’ll send detailed directions and arrival tips before your check-in.

Do I need a car when staying at Hubs?

Not necessarily. The town is compact and walkable, and the coworking space is just a short distance from your accommodation. However, if you'd like to explore the wild landscapes or visit the wild horses freely roaming in the area, renting a car can give you more flexibility.

Are there any bicycles on the property?

Yes, regular and e-bikes will be available for rent so you can explore the surrounding plains and hills at your own pace.

Is there a parking area available?

Yes! We offer a large, secured parking area free of charge. It’s spacious enough to accommodate larger vehicles like campervans or vans, so you can park safely and with peace of mind.

What currency is used, and can I pay by card?

Payments and currency Bank cards are accepted in major shops such as supermarkets, pharmacies, and drugstores like D&M. In restaurants and cafés, it varies — we recommend carrying some cash.

The local currency is BAM (Bosnian Convertible Mark), though euros are sometimes accepted (e.g., by guides). ATM withdrawal fees vary depending on the bank. Petra or Mario can recommend the best one once you arrive. Our advice: withdraw larger amounts at once, as the fee is usually fixed regardless of the amount.

What are the emergency numbers?

Police: 122

Ambulance: 124

General emergency: 112

Livno is very safe — one of the safest places in Bosnia and Herzegovina — but, of course, common sense applies.

Do people in Livno speak English?

Younger generations often speak English, though it varies — some are fluent, others not at all. Based on experience, about 50% of younger people speak English. Older generations generally do not, except for those who have worked abroad or in tourism.
