Frequently
Asked Questions

How can I get to Hubs Broumov?

You can reach Broumov by train or car from either Prague or Wroclaw. We’ll send detailed directions and arrival tips before your check-in. If you’d prefer a more comfortable option, we can arrange a private transfer for you at a fair price.

What is the exact address, and when can I arrive?

The address is Klášterní 1, 550 01 Broumov 1, Czechia.

You can arrive at any time, though we recommend checking in before 6:00 pm if possible.

How do I get from Broumov train station to the monastery?

We suggest checking directly with our host Pavla, as we prefer local guidance for the most accurate information. Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll cc her in your confirmation email so you can be in touch.

Do I need a car when staying at Hubs?

Not necessarily. The town is walkable, and both the coworking and shared spaces are located within the monastery. If you’d like to explore the surrounding region or go hiking more often, renting a car could be a great option.

Are there any bicycles on the property?

Yes,  both regular and e-bikes will be available on-site for rent.

Is there a parking area available?

Yes! We offer a secured parking area free of charge.

What does the price include?

It includes your accommodation (with all utilities and fees covered),  breakfast (based on your accommodation type), access to coworking and common areas, and support from our local hosts to help you settle in and feel at home throughout your stay.

As a complimentary bonus, you’ll also have access to a dedicated community manager who curates weekly activities, supports your stay, and helps you connect with other guests.

Are all accommodations located within the monastery complex?

Private rooms are inside the monastery, while the apartments are located nearby. Regardless of your choice, you’ll have full access to the shared spaces within the complex.

Is the entire monastery booked for Hubs?

No, only a section of the monastery and one of the coworking spaces are reserved for Hubs participants. The rest of the complex is shared with locals, expats, and visitors who also make use of the facilities.

Is there a shared kitchen available within the monastery?

Yes, there is a common kitchen. Please note that due to monastery regulations, there are no stoves or oven, only a microwave. A coffee machine and kettle are available in both the common kitchen and the living space.

What are the café and restaurant hours?

The café is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and the restaurant kitchen is open until 8:30 pm.

Do private rooms have a bathroom?

Private rooms all have shared bathrooms, but we can request a room close to the bathroom for you.

Do the private rooms have a kitchenette where I can cook?

No, private rooms don’t have a kitchenette, but you’ll have access to our common kitchen. For those staying in monastery rooms, we’ve arranged flexible food options:

  • Cook simple meals with groceries (Lidl is a 5-min walk)
  • Eat at local restaurants (~€8–10 per meal with drink)
  • Add lunch + dinner from our partner restaurant for €16/day

Will there be a coffee maker or kettle in my room?

At the moment there are no extra units available, so it’s unlikely we can place one in your room. The living space is far enough from the rooms, so it should be convenient to use the one there.

Are couples allowed to stay in the private rooms? Is there a surcharge?

Yes, couples are welcome in private rooms. The same price applies for couples, so there’s no surcharge.

Is breakfast included?

Yes, breakfast is included for those staying in private rooms and is served at the on-site restaurant within the monastery complex.

Is there internet in the rooms?

Yes. High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the monastery, including private rooms and shared spaces.

Is the space equipped for remote work?

Yes. Rooms are designed for comfort and focus. You’ll also have access to two coworking spaces within the monastery—one exclusive to Hubs participants, and another shared with locals and expats.

Where can I get work done?

You can work from your private room or apartment, or from either of the two coworking spaces within the monastery complex.

Which common areas will I have access to?

You’ll have access to a recording studio, ballet room, piano room, meditation room, two coworking spaces, a restaurant, and a café—all within the monastery complex.

Is there a gym inside the monastery?

There isn’t a gym in the complex, but there are hiking trails and a local gym in town if you’d like to stay active.

Do you provide shared hygiene products?

Yes. Toiletries and linen are included during your stay.

What kind of activities do you usually facilitate in Broumov?

You’ll also enjoy community-led workshops, Czech cooking classes, beer tastings at historic breweries, and relaxing moments like sunset apéros with panoramic views. Other options include yoga or meditation in serene monastery spaces, music sessions in the piano room, and spontaneous get-togethers with fellow residents.
